Hazel Blears, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, launched a unique information-sharing project to provide better services for vulnerable elderly people when she visited the Service headquarters on March 14.
Red Routes - Roads with a high risk of a crash
Red Routes - Roads with a high risk of a crash
Across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington, 20 routes have been identified as roads which carry the highest risk to road users of suffering a potentially fatal crash. Each route will be marked with red road signs, classifying them as Red Routes. Please use the link above to find out if you travel on any of the red routes and what to do to make your drive home safer.

Message broadcasting - new text warning system
We have launched a new service which will allow residents and businesses across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington to receive text alerts warning them about major incidents in their area. People who subscribe to the free online system can ask for messages to be sent to their mobile phone if Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service respond to a major emergency near their home or workplace
